Rescued and rehabilitated Swan at #lazise #italia 🌊🇮🇹

A young swan was rehabilitated by FBL and released back to his home on Lake Garda today. He very quickly reunited with his family 🦢🦢
Swans eat aquatic vegetation, which their long necks equip them to take from the riverbed. They take the molluscs which cling to the vegetation and also eat small fish, frogs and worms 🐟🐸🐛

Bread is not their usual diet. Also people feeding Swans can habituate the birds to humans which is not be encouraged in popular places as it can cause Swans to be aggressive.

Also released today was a little Eurasian Scops owl!
Also known as the Common Scops Owl is a small scops owl with cryptic plumage, relatively long wings, a short tail, and small erectile ear-tufts.

FBL released some more rescued and rehabilitated hedgehogs today. These young hoglets are now strong enough to survive in the wild by themselves after being orphaned.
